One in six people in the world do not have access to safe water. Water is implicated in 80% of all sickness and disease worldwide. Over six thousand children die every day from diseases associated with lack of fresh drinking water, inadequate sanitation, and poor hygiene. Diseases such as cholera, typhoid, and dysentery are also transmitted by water.
